Policies and Procedures:
Thank you for your interest in The Inn at Evergreen. This circa 1826 Manor House has been restored by the Leopold and Garcia families. This antebellum home is rich in history as is the property and country club surrounding it. Whether you are staying with us as a part of your special event or simply visiting one of the many sites in the area, we know you will find the rooms to be very comfortable, accommodating, and most memorable.
Age Requirements: You must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to reserve a room on this website and stay on our property without a parent, legal guardian, and/or a spouse at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Reservation Policy: All rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis. All rooms require a deposit equal to the first night’s stay. For weddings and other groups, we will allow the entire house to be reserved with a deposit in the amount of $1,500. The remaining $1,500 will be charged to the same credit card 30 days prior to the event; unless all deposits are made by other parties. Applicable taxes will be added to final payment.
Room Rates: Room rates are based on double occupancy and there is an additional fee of $35 per person. Rooms with multiple beds or sleeper sofas may not have more than 4 guests sleeping in the room. Rates are subject to seasonal adjustments.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the uniqueness of a venue such as this, we adhere to a more strict cancellation policy. Upon reserving the room, you are agreeing to the fact that full refunds are given if the room(s) is cancelled 60 days or more prior to the reserved date. Cancellations giving 59-30 days’ notice will receive a 50% refund. All cancellations within 30 days of the reserved date will be billed for the full rate of all rooms booked plus applicable taxes.
Check-in: Check in will take place in the foyer of the Inn. To access the inn, please press the "ring" button at either the front or back door. This will notify the innkeeper that you have a rrived. Check in time will be 2:00pm-5:00pm. Late check-in is available, but does require some additional steps so please share your estimated arrival time so we can best accommodate you. Based on the previous night’s occupancy, earlier check in may be available by approval from management. Fees may apply.
Check-out: Check out is no later than 11:00 am. Based on reservations for the night, later check out time may be available with approval from management. An unapproved late checkout (after 11:00am) will result in a $75.00 charge to the card on file.
Breakfast: Breakfast during the week will be served in the conservatory of the Inn at Evergreen (time varies). On Saturday and Sunday, breakfast will be served behind the Inn at Evergreen in the main clubhouse between 9:00 am–11:00 am. For larger groups, a specific meal service time may be required. Breakfast is included with the room for registered guests of the inn only. Other guests may join you with advanced reservations. Charges for additional breakfasts will apply.
Children: Children twelve and older are welcome at the Inn, but please respect the privacy and peace that other guests seek to enjoy.
Pets: We love pets, but they are not permitted on the property. Certain service dogs may be permitted with prior approval from management. Thank you!
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in any public area or guest room; however, smoking is allowed on balconies and on the terrace only when food service is not happening. Please ask the staff for an ashtray. Evidence of smoking in a guest room will result in a $250 charge to the credit card on file.
Alcohol Policy: In compliance with the Virginia Department of ABC and Virginia State Law, the possession and consumption of private alcohol is not permitted on property. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased through Evergreen Country Club and consumed on the premises.
Items Left Behind: Inn at Evergreen is happy to package and send articles left behind after check out. All costs associated with the shipment of the items are the responsibility of guest.
